Imaginisce...Welcome Spring Collection!

Yep...I know what you are thinking, but I don't think it is too early to start creating Easter/Spring projects.  I think by doing this...I can will Spring to come quicker because I am so cold!  Most importantly, I have this fabulous collection from Imaginisce...Welcome Spring and I am going to use it!

An Easter Cone!

So cute right?  What a fun idea for a home decor piece or maybe a gift.  I think my daughter has dibs to give this to one of her favorite school teachers.

I used the cute Clear Stamps from this collection and adhered these little bunnies to the inside of the cone, right on the front.  Oh, can you see the yummy chocolate tucked inside the cone?

The Die Cut Tags worked perfect in creating a label for the front of my cone. Look another one of those cute Clear Stamps.

Thanks for popping in and make sure you are checking out the Imaginisce Blog to see what the design team has been creating with all of the newest collections.

Silhouette's Adhesive Backed Cardstock for Added Dimension!

Hello all...Guiseppa here to share with you a layout using Silhouette's Chipboard.  I love dimension on my layouts.  I tend to go through huge amounts of foam adhesive.  In fact I use foam adhesive more than any other adhesive, but did you know that Silhouette's Chipboard is awesome for adding extra dimension to your projects?  Let me show you what I did.
valentine1 I used the Chipboard to make my XO background.  I didn't use foam adhesive on the back because it is thicker than cardstock and added some dimension all by itself.
My title was also made from the Chipboard as well.  How did I get it to be a different color?  I cut the title out first with the Chipboard and then cut the title out again using Adhesive Backed Cardstock and simply placed it over the chipboard title.  Viola...more dimension!
Love those cute feathers...they are a Silhouette Shape too!
Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you enjoyed my project.  Have fun creating with Silhouette's products and discovering what you can do with the Chipboard!

Clear Scraps New Mask...XOXO Tutorial!

I am so excited about the new Masks that Clear Scraps has.  Today I want to share with you what I did with the XOXO Mask.

Gather your supplies.  I used:
The XOXO Mask
Patterned Paper
Misting Spray (it doesn't matter the brand)
Modeling Paste
A metal spatula
A bowl to mix it in
Love 2014 Winter CHA6
Add the desired amount of modeling paste and mist to your bowl.  The amount is entirely up to you, depending on how much area you want to cover and how light or dark you want it to be.
Love 2014 Winter CHA7
Mix it all together so that there isn't anymore white from the modeling paste.
Love 2014 Winter CHA8
Scoop up some on your spatula.
Love 2014 Winter CHA9
Spread over the area of the mask that you want on your patterned paper.  Make sure you get the paste in all the areas of the mask.  Don't worry about the coverage being even.  It gives it a dimensional look.  Peel it off carefully and let it dry before you finish up your project.

Look!  How awesome is this?  I love the look.

Winter can be so fun with Imaginisce's new Collections!

I had a few of these cute pictures of my niece laying around.  She has this pretty pink winter coat on and I thought that the new My Baby Collection was perfect to use to create this layout.

I added some American Crafts Thickers Letter Stickers and some Glitter Tape to create a border.  I also used the strip of paper you cut off the bottom piece of the patterned paper to create the border.

I cut out a background snowflake shape as well as a snowflake using my Silhouette and American Crafts cardstock.

What will you create using the new Imagininsce Collections?  Make sure you are checking them out.  Head on over to the Imaginisce Blog!

This month the team has been given the theme "Snowflakes".  I decided I would use a couple of her Silhouette shapes to create a layout.  I chose a couple of the Snowflake shapes and made them different sizes on a piece of 12x12 cardstock.  I pulled the snowflakes off, using the negative space as part of my background for my layout.  These are the two shapes I used.  Both are called Snowflake.

I also used Samantha's Rough and Tumble Collection from Carta Bella.

A Silhouette New Release...Washi Paper!

Hello, today I am so excited to share with you one of Silhouette's new releases for Winter CHA 2014...Washi Paper!  The second I cut this paper, I fell in love and you will too.  Let me show you how to use it.

First off pick out the shape you would like to cut.  I used the Assorted Heart Set for my layout.  Make sure your blade settings are set on the setting for Washi paper which is a blade setting of 1, a speed of 7 and a thickness of 17.  Then simply cut it out like you would any other shape.

washi tutorial_1

Next, peel it off.  It should just peel off like a sticker and the backing to the Washi Paper should stay on the mat.

Finally, simply lay it down onto your project.  It is plenty sticky and is also very forgiving, so if you need to peel it up to fix can.

That's it! It's so easy.  The New Year has defiantly started out awesome with this new product.  Give it a try.  Here is a look at some details of my layout.

Thanks for stopping in and make sure you are checking the Silhouette Blog everyday because there are many more fabulous releases from Silhouette!
