Welcome in 2015 with Imaginisce!

Well, this is my last post for the 2014 Imaginisce Design Team!  It's been so fun being able to work with wonderful and talented people as well as amazing product.  I thought it was appropriate to welcome in the New Year by making some fun New Years decorations.

I love these 3d letters I found in the Silhouette Store and in combination with Imaginisce's Family Fun Collection, they are perfect for the New Year.  How fun would these be in the center of your snack and food party table at your New Year's party?!

I also found these cute 2015 glasses in the Silhouette Store too.  These would be way fun for the kids or maybe yourself.  They were so easy to put together and took no time at all!

I hope you enjoy your New years!  Make it a memorable and crafty one with Imaginisce!

A Samantha Walker Title Tutorial!

Hello again!  Today I am sharing my final tutorial and project for Samantha Walker's Creative Crafter's Team.  I just have to say, my experience on this team has been amazing.  I have learned so much and made many friends along the way. Samantha is one talented lady and you will need to keep an eye on what she has going on!  Thanks Samantha for having me for four wonderful and creative years! I'm going to show you how to make this title.  Let's start!

Pull up your 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town' in your Silhouette Software.  This shape has an advent calender that comes with it.  I'm going to use the title part of it.  Highlight the title, right click and select Ungroup.

Now, remove the top and bottom pieces of the title by highlighting them and clicking delete on your keyboard.  This is what you should be left with.

Decide where on your layout you want the title and move it around.  You can also resize it to be smaller, but I wanted mine to be this size.  I decided I wanted the 'Santa Claus' part of my title to be sketched out using Silhouette's Sketch Pens (white).  So, first remove 'is coming to town', open up the Sketch Window and click on Cross Hatch.  You can now see how my 'Santa Claus' has changed.

I want my cross hatched smaller, so go to Advance Options, then spacing and then move your spacing all the way to the left.  Notice how the crosses in the 'Santa Claus'are now smaller?

Pick the color of pen you want to use.  I used white on the black cardstock because I love how it looks.  To sketch, just go into the Cut Setting, pick Silhouette Sketch Pen and send it to your Silhouette.

When it's done sketching, leave it in your Silhouette.  Do not remove it.

Go back into your Silhouette Software and add your 'is coming to town' part of the title.

Now, you need to remove the 'Santa Claus' part of the title.  Your page should look like this right now.

Let's finish and cut out the 'is coming to town'.  Go back into your Cut Settings and select the material type you are using.  I am using cardstock, so I selected Textured Cardstock.  Make sure you take your pen out and put in your blade. Now, you can see the look I was going for.

Here are some close ups of my layout!

I also used Samantha's Keepin' Cozy Collection from Echo Park.

To get the wood look in my title, I adhered some wood veneer paper to the back of the black cardstock.

Thanks for stopping and for all of your support and sweet comments over the past four years!  Happy crafting and cutting!

Carta Bella Christmas Basket

Oh my…Christmas, it’s getting close.  Are you ready?  today I would love to share with you my Christmas Basket I made using the Yesterday and Christmas Time Collections.

So, I watch my neighbor’s kids twice a week.  Last week they came over with this cute ginger bread house they made and told me it was for my house because I didn’t have any Christmas decorations up, yes I hadn’t decorated yet.  So, I thought it was time.  I love making Christmas décor and I love to add new things every year.  I made this fun basket, but what’s good about something like this is it can be used as décor or it can be given s a gift, just add a little treat or gift inside the basket.

I added some Styrofoam to the bottom of my basket, extra Easter grass I had and used shish kabob sticks.  The 3x4 Journaling cards and stickers from these collections were the perfect size for the sticks and the basket.

I also used one of the stickers from the Christmas Time Collection and made a title for my basket.

Add a fun bow for that extra special Christmas touch!  I also used an Adhesive Flair Button to the center of the bow…so cute!

So fun, easy and fast!  That’s what we all love at anytime of the year, especially during the Christmas season.  Head on over toe the Carta Bella Blog to see all of the wonderful projects the design team has been creating!  Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hello, today I am excited to be on the Silhouette Blog.  I've got this adorable layout to share with you that was so fun creating.  My daughter has the sweetest friend and  I wanted to make something that captured this wonderful friendship.  Flowers are kind of a staple in scrapbooking, at least for me, but I wanted to do something a little different with them this time.

Christmas Box with Imaginisce and Pebbles!

This month the Imaginisce Design Team got to play with some Pebbles goodies!  Today I want to share with you what I made...perfect for those little Christmas gifts!

I used Pebbles new Home for Christmas Collection to make these adorable gift boxes, but I also used my favorite Imaginisce tool, the I-Top!

This collection has so many fun gift tags and little embellishments, that I saw it fitting to make these boxes.  I used the I-Top to make the custom buttons that I wrapped the twine and ribbon around.

I am sure these will get used.  My kids are always asking for fun boxes to put their friends gifts in.  I guess I will have to get out more Home for Christmas and my I-Top to make more of these!  Make sure you are checking out the Imaginisce Blog all week long to see all of the fun Christmas projects being created by the design team!  I hope you enjoy your crafting week and thanks for stopping in!

Carta Bella Die Cut Window Card Tutorial

Good morning!  Today I would like to share with you another way to use those fabulous Designer Dies!  I want to show you how to make a window card. Let’s start!

Choose the patterned paper you’d like to use.  I used patterned paper from the Warm & Cozy Collection.  From your piece of patterned paper, cut out a piece measuring 6 x 12 inches.

Next, you will need to score your patterned paper at 3 and 9 inches.

 Fold your score lines.

Using your Carta Bella Designer Die, tape removable double sided tape to the back side (flat part) of the die.  I am using the Designer Die Snowflake Tree Die Set.

Open your card and place your die in the center of the card.  Make sure the blade is facing up.

Close up your card and run it through your manual die cutting machine.  I used my Grand Cailbur.  Open the card up and have a look at what you just made!

Here are a few close up of the card.  I also embellished them a little using the Warm & Cozy Collection.

Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you enjoy using the new Warm & Cozy Collection along with the Designer Dies!  Make sure you head on over to the Carta Bella Blog to check all of the wonderful projects the design team has been creating with the newest collections and Designer Dies!
